ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

MN Boys High School Volleyball Association was established in 2018 as a non-profit, 501c3 organization.
It was developed to promote, assist, and develop boys volleyball clubs in Minnesota High Schools. 
The Organization's goal is for Boys Volleyball to become a MSHSL sanctioned sport.
Donations made to MN Boys HSVB are tax deductible.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 Management.  The business and charitable affairs of this corporation shall be managed by or under the direction of a Board of Directors.  The Board of Directors shall have primary responsibility for overseeing the activities of this corporation; engaging in long-range planning for this corporation; ensuring the mission of this corporation; and approving the annual budget for this corporation.

 Number, Composition of Board.  In 2018 the Board of Directors shall consisted of up to seven (7) individuals elected by the directors.  In 2020 the Board made a motion at the Annual meeting to declare up to 5 individuals elected by the directors.  At the 2022 Annual meeting that number was reduced to 3 members consisting of directors.  A nonprofit’s board of directors must consist of at least three members, and a board member may not serve for a term that exceeds 10 years.  Minn. Stat. §§ 317A.203, .207.

Terms of Directors.  Directors shall serve for a term of two (2) years each, can be re-electedand, & shall be so elected that approximately 1/3 of the directors are elected each year.

OFFICERS

The Officers of this corporation are appointed by the Board of Directors.  The officers of the MN Boys HS VB Association are as follows:  a President, a Vice President, Secretary, a Treasurer, and such other officers as the Board of Directors may, from time to time, appoint.  Officer positions can, and may,  be appointed to those that are NOT Directors of this corporation.
